Finch West is a postmodern subway station on Line 1 Yonge-University in Toronto, opened in 2018 and designed by Will Alsop of Alsop Architects in collaboration with Richard Stevens. The station was designed with a "station of light" concept, aimed at providing natural daylight and reducing energy consumption, with public art incorporated into the architecture by artist Bruce McLean. The structures were built using CEMFORT XPRESSION COLOR panels showcasing black, white, and yellow fiber concrete. The station serves as a prime example of innovative design, incorporating sustainable design principles and public art into a functional subway station.
